A SHREDDING company will create 10 new jobs by opening a new branch in South Wales.

Shred-it, which has 15 outlets across the UK, is launching a new site at Village Farm Industrial Estate, Pyle, Bridgend.

The company said the branch was set up to meet growing demand from Welsh businesses looking to improve data security.

Shred-it already provides document destruction services to more than 370 customer locations based in South Wales, spanning both the public and private sectors. During the past 12 months, the business has seen its customer base across the region grow by 52%.

District manager Les Walker said: "Our new Bridgend branch will enable us to enhance our local service to both new and existing clients in the region."
